Our VisionWe are devoted to the dynamic transformation of women's lives, meeting modern challenges affecting women with a steadfast advocacy program anchored on a unified, compassionate and committed effort to achieve great dreams in behalf of all women worldwide.

Background Information

The year was 1997 when Mrs. Asuncion Manalastas and Mrs. Victoria Li got together and envisioned an organization dedicated to the holistic transformation of women. Invitations were sent to selected women leaders who were best-equipped in heart, ability and spirit to espouse and sustain a dynamic unifying movement among women of all ages and all walks of life. This group consisted of individuals that became the core officers of what was then informally called "Women of Blessing".

As the years passed, a continuous progression of activities including community immersions and staff equipping programs heralded bigger and better objectives. More and more women were gaining advantages, a wider scope of operations was presenting itself and the need to institutionalize the standards and principles of the group became very apparent. In a desire to expand its service, the group decided to evolve and immediately began steps of enlisting as a foundation. On 21 October, 2003 the group was officially registered as a foundation with the title "Deborah Women of God In Service Foundation, Inc." aka Deborah.

The name Deborah is derived from a Biblical character, a female judge and leader of Israel during tumultuous times. Deborah as a woman of strength, vision and divine wisdom upholds the organization's tenets and common faith. "Women serving women..."

The organization capitalizes on the belief that society must empower women in all areas of life. Deborah operates from the upper class to the grassroots level in the hopes of carving a niche for the development and protection of women's rights. This is Deborah's simple but effective formula to manifesting God's grace and mercy. In all undertakings, Deborah encourages a close-knit working environment that exists to serve in harmony in the embodiment of the adage "...one for all, all for Jesus!"

Board of Trustees

Small Picture of Board

Deborah Foundation's Board of Trustees is composed of twelve (12) offices. Meeting weekly, the officers plan and prepare the schedule of activities that primarily concern the fields of education, livelihood, and charity. They also review financial status reports that are disseminated to all Executive Board members. All matters resolved and set for implementation are then cascaded to all involved departments.
