Deborah Livelihood Projects is a program designed to teach women specific skills enabling them to gain employment and provide for their families.
Held four to six times each year at the Deborah site, each one day seminar trains between 20 to 50 women. Participants come from friends, word of mouth, church and from the community. Instructors are recruited from local businesses as well as from the Deborah board. Previous students often assist in seminars or attend several to gain skills in different areas.
The cost to hold a seminar (including lunch) is an estimated 5,000 pesos (about $125 USD) and is divided among the participants as a registration fee. However, many participants are unable to cover this fee. We welcome sponsors that have a heart for this ministry project.
